Kimpton - Fitzroy London, an IHG Hotel

The staff are absolutely brilliant. I read several reviews saying the same thing and my experience was nothing short of impressive. Everyone was extremely helpful, polite and welcoming. A 12pm checkout is very generous and we really appreciated the extra time in the morning. Breakfast was perfect - had seen a few reviews that worried me, but there wasn’t anything to complain about. The rooms, although small are extremely comfortable and the furnishings are carefully thought out and really beautiful! You can hear a bit of noise from below in the park facing rooms (especially loud if it’s an ambulance) but as a light sleeper I wasn’t that bothered! The view also makes up for it!

Hotel is beautiful and staff are fantastic...went out of their way to make us feel special.

*Room - good size for single room, very comfortable bed. Coffee machine, tea kettle and fridge refilled daily was bonus. Very clean *Location - Piccadilly line tube station around the corner with direct access from Heathrow, also has step free access a bonus with luggage. Walking distance to Euston and Kings Cross/St Pancras train stations. Many sights and other tube stations are within walking distance also. *Staff - every staff member (apart from 1) was super friendly and helpful. Offered late check out and stored bags before overnight train. *Breakfast - was fantastic. Many hot and cold buffet options plus fresh made items and drinks. *Building - lovely historic building next to Russell Square. Many areas to lounge downstairs. All areas were immaculately clean.

Our stay began well when Marina checked us in. She was friendly, professional, and helpful. It was so nice to be made to feel welcome. As it was our first visit to London, we made use of the concierge desk almost daily. Sean and Joseph were especially helpful. Late night room service was a most welcome and useful benefit. The food at Fitz's was outstanding. The Kimpton Fitzroy is conveniently located at Russell Square adjacent to the Underground station and not far from King's Cross Railway station.

The hotel is so beautiful. It is decorated like a castle. The room was very comfortable and clean. We stayed there on Christmas and my son got a special sock with presents from Santa. Breakfast was very good. And we also took dinner and it was very tasty. The staff is very nice. And there is an afternoon tea with free drinks and small performance. The location feels very safe. Very close to the subway and a small shopping center. The hotel has a coffee shop that looks nice.
